Events Management and Marketing Internship

During my summer in London, I interned with Age UK, where I helped design and facilitate community events aimed at strengthening social connection among senior citizens experiencing loneliness. I contributed to the development of ten organization-wide events, built meaningful relationships with participants, and provided guidance on technology and community resources to help them stay connected with family and friends across the globe. In this role, I frequently led groups of up to twenty-five individuals on tours and group outings throughout the city, ensuring smooth operations while representing the organization with professionalism and care.

Beyond event leadership, I collaborated with volunteers, local businesses, and partner organizations to support program logistics and foster an inclusive environment. I also collected and analyzed data on community participation, awareness of health services, and satisfaction with medical resources offered through the nonprofit. This combination of hands-on engagement and analytical work strengthened my adaptability, reinforced my ability to lead in dynamic and sometimes high-pressure settings, and deepened my commitment to building supportive, connected communities.
